About Me & Pin Pon
Hi! My name is Dayanara Garcia. As a former Early Childhood Educator, I understand the need for open-ended play, simplicity, and nurturing, in a childs life. While studing art and illustration at Columbia College I started making and selling art dolls to help pay for school. In the beginning of my doll making adventures,my art dolls were sold all over the U.S. but my love for children, children’s books and toys made me shift gears, and I began to make dolls and toys that would be safe to play with but still beautiful to look at. Pin Pon is the name of the Spanish lulluby my mami (mommy in Spanish) would sing to me when I was small. I hope that my dolls and toys will bring joy and warmth to those who hold them.
